FAQs
Carpentry questions, answered
My door sticks only in monsoon. Is that fixable permanently?
Yes. The usual fix is planing the swollen edge and sealing the exposed timber so it stops absorbing moisture. Sealing the top and bottom edges — which most original installations skip — makes the biggest difference.
Do you make custom furniture?
We fabricate fitted joinery — wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, storage units — priced per square foot. Free-standing designer furniture is outside what we do.
Can you assemble flat-pack furniture I bought online?
Yes, that is a common booking. Send us a photo of the box or the model name over WhatsApp and we will confirm the price before the visit.
Who supplies the wood?
We can source it and show you the receipt, or you can supply it. Our labour rate does not change either way.
Who supplies the wood and hardware?
Either of us. Supply it yourself and you pay labour only. Let us buy it and you get it at cost with the receipt, and we will tell you honestly which grade is worth paying for and which is not.
Can you match existing woodwork?
Close, usually. Exact matches on old timber are rarely possible, so we will show you the nearest option and let you decide rather than surprising you at the end.
Do you assemble flat-pack bought online?
Yes, and it is one of our most common jobs. Keep the box and the fittings bag - missing hardware is the one thing that stops the job.
