FAQs
AC Repair & Service questions, answered
How often should an AC be serviced in Islamabad?
Twice a year is ideal — once before summer and once at the end of it. Islamabad's dust load is high enough that annual-only servicing usually shows as reduced cooling by the second summer.
My AC is not cooling. Does it definitely need gas?
Usually not. A sealed refrigerant system does not consume gas — if pressure is genuinely low, there is a leak, and refilling without finding it just repeats the problem in a few weeks. We check airflow and coil condition first and only recommend gas when the pressure reading justifies it.
Do you work on inverter units?
Yes, including servicing, gas work and PCB diagnosis. Inverter PCBs are expensive, so we always confirm the fault before recommending a replacement board.
Is there a warranty on gas refilling?
Refrigerant itself is a consumable and is not warranted, but the workmanship — the leak repair, flare joints and vacuum — carries the standard 30-day warranty.
You said gas. Does my AC actually need it?
Often not. A sealed system does not consume gas - if it is low, there is a leak, and refilling without finding the leak just buys you a few weeks. We measure the pressure first, and a good share of weak-cooling calls turn out to be a blocked coil.
How long does a service take, and do you make a mess?
About an hour to ninety minutes for a split unit. The indoor unit is bagged before washing so the water and dirt run into the bag, not down your wall.
Can you fit an AC where there is no drain outside?
Yes, but the drain has to go somewhere with a fall on it. We will show you the route before drilling - a hose run uphill is the single most common cause of water dripping inside.
