These terms explain how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They apply to work booked with Apni Chhat Home Services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and to the use of this website.
1. Quotes and prices
We publish our rates rather than quoting on the doorstep. Before anyone travels to you, we give a price range in writing based on what you have described and the photos you send.
- A range is an estimate based on the information available before inspection.
- If what we find on site changes that range, we tell you before any further work happens, and you decide whether to continue.
- Prices for parts are separate from labour where a part is needed, and are confirmed before the part is fitted.
- Published rates may change over time. The price that applies to your job is the one agreed in writing with you.
2. Payment
On standard repairs you pay after the job is done. For larger work such as renovation, civil work or jobs needing materials bought in advance, a staged payment may be agreed in writing before the work starts. We do not ask for advance payment on standard repairs.
3. Warranty
Workmanship carries a 30-day warranty from the date the job is completed. If the same fault returns within that period because of how the work was done, we return and put it right at no further labour cost.
The warranty does not cover:
- Parts, which carry their own manufacturer warranty where one applies.
- A different fault from the one that was repaired.
- Damage caused after the work by misuse, further work by someone else, or an event outside our control.
- Underlying conditions you were told about and chose not to address, where we advised that the repair was a temporary measure.
4. Bookings, access and cancellation
- Please tell us about access issues, parking, pets or anyone in the house who should not be disturbed when you book.
- Someone over 18 should be present to give access and to confirm the work.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can so the slot can be offered to someone else.
- If our technician arrives at the agreed time and cannot get access, we may need to rebook the visit.
5. What we will not do
We will tell you when a job is outside what we can safely or sensibly take on. That includes work that needs a structural engineer, utility-company work on a supply, and situations where we believe a repair would be unsafe or would hide a problem rather than fix it. Saying so is part of the service, not a way of avoiding work.
6. Damage and existing condition
Older fittings, painted surfaces and tired fixings can fail when they are worked on, and sometimes that is unavoidable. Where we can see that risk in advance, we will point it out before starting. If we damage something through our own fault, tell us and we will put it right.
7. Photos of completed work
We sometimes photograph completed work for our own records and for the projects section of this website. We will ask you first, and we do not publish anything that identifies your address or shows the inside of your home without your agreement.
8. Advice on this website
The guides and blog posts on this site are general information about common faults in homes in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They are written to help you understand what is probably wrong and what a fair price looks like, not to replace an inspection. Every house is different, and no article can see your actual installation. For anything involving gas, electrical faults that trip a breaker, or water reaching wiring, stop and call a professional rather than following a general guide.
